Dr. Mike Ferguson, a Church Development US Missionary, works with Pastors providing a collaborative, solution-focused, results-oriented relationship to enhance ministry fulfillment, life experience, and self-directed learning.
With a unique understanding of the distinct needs and challenges of those in Pastoral positions, Dr. Ferguson combines his 27 years in Pastoral leadership with his training in Industrial/Organizational Psychology to help Assembly of God Pastors succeed in reaching their ministry goals.
Dr. Ferguson earned his B.S. in Human Development, M.S. in Clinical Psychology and his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. His Dissertation topic was "Occupational Stress among Assemblies of God Ministers and its Implications to Quality of Life and Burnout." He was Ordained as an Assembly of God minister in 1988 with the Oklahoma District.
He has been in Staff and Team Development since 1984 and has developed training curriculum that is used by Social Service agencies across America. Dr. Ferguson has spoken publicly in over 4,000 different venues across America.
Since 1982 he has been in full-time ministry mentoring and coaching students and adults helping them develop their unique fit and potential in society. He has been a Senior Pastor and Church Planter for more than 20 years, and currently serves as a Church Development Missionary.
He has extensive training and experience in the use of normal personality testing and assessments and uses these to help people understand their God-given design. Dr. Ferguson, along with his wife Nancy, are founders of a National After-School Program known as KidCare America.
In addition to Church Assessment and Consulting, Dr. Ferguson is also an Adjunct Professor at Evangel University, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and the University of Phoenix. He is also a Mentor of Dissertation students at the University of Phoenix. He is a sought after speaker in the area of Expert Performance and Personality: Finding your fit in the Body of Christ.
Dr. and Mrs. Ferguson have a married adult son, who has a B.S. in Psychology and is currently attending Drury Gradute School of Criminology and a daughter who is a Freshman at Texas A&M at Corpus Christi studying Marine Biology. Of all the things they love in life their favorite thing to do is hang out with the family which includes three Italian Greyhounds, Quincy, Summer and Sonny.
